TEAM TENNIS

(End of May - October: Tuesdays)

One member of team tennis!            Another member of team tennis!

END OF MAY - FALL

(Every Tuesday ~ 6:30 pm-9pm/10 pm. Always Weather permitting)

~ TEAM TENNIS (RECREATIONAL MIXED ADULT) ~

Weather permitting (no rain dates), team tennis (included in your general membership fee) will be held each Tuesday night, 6:30 P.M. sharp to 9 P.M./10 P.M. (depending on player numbers), and will generally begin the first Tuesday following the main registration weekend membership drive (please check). The temperature must be above 0 degrees C and the courts must be dry.

While all skill levels are welcome, players must realize that this is a mixed male-female adult event, that play is generally at a recreational level (at a minimum, you must be able to get your serves in on a regular basis), that games are normally 20-25 minutes long (begun and ended by a whistle), and that players are matched with a different partner and opponent for each new set.

Over the course of the year, players are encouraged to bring two cans of new balls (yellow preferred) which they will introduce into play as they see the need.

Novice players (those who have never played before) are encouraged to take their beginner’s lessons (June-August - included in your general membership) before coming over to team tennis, so as not to unduly slow down the level of play. However, upon the discretion of the coordinator, beginners may be accepted.
